POWER PURCHASE AGREEMENT (PPA)

01

A power purchase agreement (PPA) is an off-balance sheet financial agreement where RWH Energy executes the design, permitting, financing and installation of an energy generation system on a customer’s property at no cost to our customer. RWH then sells the power generated to the host customer at a fixed rate that is lower than the local utility’s blended rate. This lower electricity price serves to offset the customer’s purchase of electricity from the grid and lower the overall total cost of electricity. The term can range from 15 to 25 years depending on the generation type and project specifics.

ENERGY SERVICE AGREEMENT (ESA)

02

An Energy Service Agreement (ESA) is an off-balance sheet financing solution that allows customers to implement energy efficiency and projects with zero upfront capital expenditure. Through the ESA, RWH arranges and pays for all project development and construction costs. Once a project is operational, the customer makes fixed service charge payments for the installed equipment. The price per unit of savings is a fixed output-based charge that is set at or below a customer’s existing utility price, resulting in immediate reduced operating expenses resulting in a cash flow positive project upon commissioning.
